Mask of Magminty Lush Facemask

Let me start by telling you this, never have I ever felt my skin so squeaky clean after just one use of a facemask.  Mask of Magminty has been a total life changer, and I now seriously kick myself when I think back to all those times I dodged it when I was instore because it wasn’t a fresh face mask!  Can you imagine how amazing my skin would feel right now if I had bought it all those months ago?!
This product is a Lush self-preserving face and body mask, designed to gently clean and exfoliate whilst worn.  Made with peppermint oil and primrose seeds – the ingredients work amazingly together, making your pores feel super tingly and leaves the feeling of an extra deep cleanse.
To smell, the mask gives off a kind of musky peppermint scent.  It’s very dark in colour, I would describe it as a forest kind of green (which I do believe now is part of what put me off this little pot of goodness every time!)
To use, I like to smooth a generous layer of the mask over my face, paying special attention to my nose, cheeks and chin – as these are the areas that tend to breakout most often.  I tend to leave it on between ten to fifteen minutes at a time, and I have been using it at least once a week since purchasing it back in December.  I really enjoy the fact that this mask dries in like a paste, it doesn’t flake off like some other masks tend to do when it’s near time to wash them off.  Mask of Magminty hardens as it works, which when you go to wash off, gives an amazing exfoliation which I a d o r e.

You can buy Mask of Magminty for £5.75 from most Lush stores.  This gives you a 125g of the goodness in a little black pot, which is an amazing price considering the quality of the product that you are getting and the shelf life it has in comparison to some of the other facemasks available from Lush.
So next time you’re visiting your local Lush store, I ask you to do yourself a favour and to pick up this luxurious alongside your other purchases.  If you enjoy mint, exfoliation and feeling super clean, I promise that you won’t be disappointed.
Have you tried any of the Lush self-preserving facemasks?  If so, let me know what you thought!
Until the next one,

Here's to trying something new

So having been a media student for near 3 years now, setting up my own blog is something that I’ve wanted to do for some time.  I was never really sure what the purpose of a blog was before I started college, I had always kind of thought they were used like an online diary or for publishing stories for people to read at their own free leisure.  Now I see that blogs used for absolutely everything: fashion, food, book reviews & make up tutorials.  I’m excited to do a little bit of everything here, be it reviews of products I adore or places I go to visit.  I enjoy so many different things that I would find it hard to narrow my blog down to one specific area of my interests.
I l o v e Instagram, it’s my favourite social media platform.  I like to take pictures and I love to scroll through thousands of pictures of scenery, food, fashion, make-up and even peoples bedrooms.  Instagram has always made me feel as though I can share a little bit more of who I am as a person when I’m online, opposed to the likes of Facebook and Twitter.  Facebook and Twitter don’t like to know what you’re doing, Facebook and Twitter don’t understand.

I’ve always felt as though Instagram was in some way, my own kind of blog.  I like to make my pictures look pretty before I post them, and I enjoy making maximum use of hashtags to allow people to see my photos.  This may not be fun to some, but I really enjoy this aspect of social media, and have no shame admitting to it!  I hope to be able to expand on things I post on Instagram from here, as a picture is sometimes just not enough.
I’m looking forward to sharing my favourite health and beauty products, my love of different coffees, the projects that I’m involved in and my sad obsession with freebies and vouchers that I have developed.  But most of all, I’m excited to be sharing my thoughts and writing online for the first time besides my course work.  I’m really keen to progress into media related work when I’m finished my studies, and I feel that this will be an appropriate first step in allowing me to do just that.
Please feel free to share any feedback or give me any suggestions, it would be much appreciated!
Until the next one,
